Hello everyone.

In two weeks we'll have our very much anticipated multiplication of service! This time round we're at more ease cos of lifegrps happening during weekdays. This is going to be an exciting time for Impact Life as we embark on a new journey in building the kingdom of God! This will require more time, effort and patience from every member during this transition. Now on to the administrative side....

IMPACT LIFE MEMBERS

I understand that we have allocated life groups for specific services but for now let's work towards being available for both 2pm and 5pm services first.

All members (YI included), please EMAIL john.lin@impactlife.sg stating the date/time/availability for the MONTH of FEB including reasons for not being able to attend. i.e for me-

THIS IS IT!! We're into the LAST service of the year, with the following week being the awesome Christmas Bash! Man this year has been..... Kaboooms?!?! Kinda like just zoomed past so quickly. Anyway, here's the roster for this week, it's kinda unique, so read CAREFULLY....

1 band will serve in BOTH services back to back. Prac will be on FRIDAY 730PM, 3RD LEVEL and then on Saturday itself soundcheck will be done at the 3rd and 2nd level respectively.

I wanna take this chance to say a HUGE Happy Birthday to our dear Calvin Seow, who's been serving and leading us faithfully all these years; where many of peers have decided that serving God is a just another phase that young adults grow out of, Calvin stood for what he believes in Christ! Hey guys, here's the roster. Sermon past week is really applicable and it's definitely not a one-off. Keep reminding yourself and know that we are all created worshippers, we're always outpouring our lives, and it's our choice daily to ensure that our decision is always for Jesus to be in the centre of worship! We do not worship because we're in the worship team, but we worship because we were made for this very purpose, to enjoy intimacy with our Creator! Confining worship to just a 2hour-a-week segment totally robs God of what He's worth, and we're also shortchanging ourselves, missing out on heaps with our Saviour.

Hey all, so sorry the roster is late this week. Worship Experience for both services has been totally awesome, serving and worshipping God never felt so much better and I'm sure y'all agree! Let's continue to apply what we've been learning from iLife, onstage and especially offstage. If we say that we desire so much to worship God, then our hearts should also be burning with desire to introduce our friends and loved ones to worship God too!

This week, we grieve with John on the passing of his beloved dad. Hey guys, good Monday to all of you! Pastor's sermon on God's will last week was so powerful and I'm sure the Holy Spirit is speaking so much to all of our hearts individually about specific things we have to do in our lives. Knowing that our purpose in life is not just being a Saturday-Christian or just a "Christian" musician, let's walk in God's direction and will for each of us; because we truly only experience real joy and purpose in the life when we are living the lives He created us to live, and when we have that sense of purpose, our work, play, relationships & serving as a band will be taken to the next level, LITERALLY. So I challenge everyone of us, whether we're serving this week or not, to start our everyday in and with God's Word!

You guys have all been doing good, keep working hard and strive for greater excellence on your own and have a blast worshipping even when we come together for practice!

Remember the sharing during the retreat..How near we come into the presence of God depends on how prepared we are to meet him during our daily walk. And all of us should not only give our time and effort to serving God, but to give our hearts and attitude...So that our sacrifices can be unblemished in His sight.

Z3 RETREAT (Final Edit)

Hello, WaiWai here. =)

1) 2nd night dinner would not be at 'Smok'inn' Frogz Kitchen', due to the lack of space at the area. With about 28 people going, it's quite impossible to find enough space over there. Therefore, we would now be having dinner at turf city's Chomp Pang BBQ Buffet.

2) Some changes regarding cost: Each person is required to bring at least $23 during the retreat. Me and LZ would collect them during the retreat. $5 for breakfast ingredients/drinks/tidbits, and $18 for the 2nd night dinner. (For those with financial difficulties, just bring the amount that you can. We would help you settle the rest.)

3) For the breakfast team, WQ has suggested a new list of things for me and LZ to buy, rather than sandwich. Seems to be tasting good! So you guys just focus on making the breakfast. WQ will co-ordinate.

4) Finally, LZ has challenged all who are going on this retreat to be praying for this event. =) Pray that this retreat would take all of us deeper into God!

1) To those who cannot make it for the duties due to any reasons, please approach directly to the person you would like to change with, and do inform me(Waiwai) or LZ when you change. Do inform us or tag on the tagboard also if you cannot come for retreat.

2) For those doing games on 2nd night, we did not set any theme for the games. So just make use of your creative juices as much as possible, although it is highly recommended to make use of the ample space in the sanctuary.

3) For those whom have been dedicated the task of preparing breakfast, tentatively I would ask LZ to go with me to buy the ingredients before we do check in. We would then place all the ingredients in the fridge. I would see to this. (By the way, breakfast is sandwich. So the ingredients we have thought are: Egg mayo, lettuce, tuna, bread and kaya)

4) Regarding cost, I would tabulate the total amount of money spent for booking the place, plus the ingredients. After the retreat, I would then tell you guys again how much each individual will have to pay.

Do feel free to inform me or LZ for anything that is lacking/suggestions.

This will happen every week at the given time slot. This is not compulsory but we encourage all ministry members to come down to pray together for service that week. This is not only for members who are serving but rather all who are within the ministry (e.g even if you are just under training and not serving yet).

Continue to pursue a first class mentality in serving Him and let's turn up our prayers a few notches to really ask and expect more from God for this ministry in the coming year!

Just some things I want to reinforce for our practices from now on:

Please bring a pen to write down the things you need to do, for example-

1. 1st song to 2nd song transition, crash with cymbals, bass solo comes in 2 bars, all join in after that.

2. verse 1, light feel, pre-chorus more toms with kick drum

This is to ensure that everyone fully understands what is going on during the practice and is on the same page with the WL. It's also a chance for us to knock your head if you've wrote down but forgot entirely what you should do la!

Other than that, thank you everyone for putting in such great effort for the camp and especially the whole of this year!

Thanks Eugene for the posts. I couldn’t agree more. More than just playing on Saturday, we as ministers are responsible to God, one another and the congregation to prepare ourselves before we come and serve week after week. It is not just the worship leaders’ job to come up with the songlist and prepare, but everyone in the team MUST prepare their hearts, walk with God closely and pray for the service and ministry.

As soldiers in the war, we need to watch each other’s back. I got your back and you got mine, so to be unguarded and unprepared would mean letting our teammates down. “The chain is only as strong as the weakest link” Each one of you is a connector in that chain. Anyone down will render the entire chain weak and easily breakable. For info, the worship team is known as the worship team only because we are lead worshippers. If we are not, then we are just a band. We can be instruments and vessels used by the Lord or we can chose to be instruments of distraction and disruption.

On a happier note, I’m glad that some of you guys are stepping up and taking more responsibility in the team. Its encouraging to me and keeps me going on too. I don’t want to become an OMO (One-man-Operations) team. Yup..

Let’s continue not just to tune our instruments but our Spirit to listen to what the Lord wants us to do each week!!

hi guys.

just a short update.

recently i've been having a blocked left ear for about 2 weeks now. and today at service while ps sam evans was leading worship she told the church that she sensed ppl with lower backs were being healed. upon hearing that, i told God i wanna be healed from my blocked ear as well so please get her to mention explicitly blocked ear on one particular side.

next thing i knew, she was saying "some of you have a blocked ear on one side of your head. God's going to unblock it now.". My ear opened after awhile through the worship and I wanna give thanks to God for healing me!

remember, no matter how bad you think your storm/situation/problem is, know that our God is bigger, stronger and above every circumstance. Our God is able.

Tomorrow marks the first ever creative team meeting for our ministry! I'm really excited about what's in store for us in this new season as we come together to pray, seek and wait upon Him.

I really wanna encourage each and every member within the ministry, whether you're serving this week or not, to come and be united in prayer and vision. It's time to stop worrying about anything and start praying for everything!

Let's all be tuned into the same frequency with the Holy Spirit, to be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led ministers.

Be ready for the session! Come with great expectations for God to move and speak for there is great power in prayer! I'll be praying with you guys!
